About the role
The Design Coordinator will be based at our regional office in the village of Elvington, focusing on new build and refurbishment construction contracts as well as planned and reactive maintenance works in the Yorkshire region.Responsibilities
- Managing the design team and chairing design team meetings
- Producing Information Required Schedules
- Chairing design review workshops with the construction team
- Develop value engineering solutions
- Preparing technical submissions to Client teams
- Aid in appointment and review of design sub-contractors
- Review the build on site for compliance and assist the site team with queries
- Prepare Health and Safety file and O&M information
Requirements
- Essential design coordination experience
- Daily tasks include managing the design team, producing schedules, leading design reviews, developing value engineering solutions, preparing technical submissions, assisting with sub-contractor appointments, reviewing builds for compliance, and preparing health and safety files.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, technologies, and legislation, including Planning, Building Regulations, Building Safety Act, CDM Regulations, SAP, SBEM, and BREEAM
- Construction-related HNC or equivalent qualification
- Experience using Microsoft Office
- Valid driving license
