Design Coordinator – Hospitality & Multifamily

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with RMS Creative Director, construction teams, architects, consultants, and third-party design firms on hospitality and multifamily projects
• Aid in space planning and furniture layouts for guestrooms, public spaces, restaurants, and residential projects
• Support the development of interior design concepts, mood boards, finish palettes, and presentations
• Assist with lighting selections, material specifications, furniture sourcing, and finish coordination
• Cover design documentation, samples, and project tracking throughout all phases of design and construction
• Review drawings, submittals, and specifications for design consistency and execution
• Communicate with vendors, consultants, architects, and contractors regarding design-related items and project follow-up
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships and sourcing databases
• Cook up installation and styling of furnishings, artwork, and accessories
• Support ongoing enhancements across RMS hospitality properties

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field preferred
• 3+ years of experience in commercial interior design preferred
• Hospitality, restaurant, and/or multifamily project experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of floor plan layouts, space planning, lighting, finishes, furnishings, and construction detailing
• Proficiency in AutoCAD required; SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar programs are a plus
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for hospitality and experiential design
