Design And Sales Consultant

About the role

Kohler is looking for a Design & Sales Consultant at their Plano, TX location. This position requires 2+ years of experience in plumbing design and sales, knowledge of products sold in the showroom, and experience with luxury, high-end products and customers. The ideal candidate should also be knowledgeable of kitchen and bath design trends, have experience with architectural blueprints, and have a strong sense of aesthetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert product selection assistance and design services to showroom customers.
• Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction to meet or exceed sales and gross profit goals.
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships, creating referrals and repeat business.
• Use Hajoca technology to guide product selections, review product specifications, pricing, and availability.
• Follow-up on leads and generate new business.
• Process showroom sale returns and refunds.
• Keep the showroom clean, neat, current, stocked, and safely displayed.
• Attend industry associations and professional events to stay informed about design trends and build business relationships.
• Complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.

Requirements

Knowledge of products sold in the showroom preferred. Experience working with luxury, high end products and customers. Our Ideal Candidate Will Also Be Knowledgeable of Kitchen and Bath Design Trends. Have experience with architectural blueprints and have a strong sense of aesthetics. Effectively use Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word) to communicate via email, maintain customer contact files and appointment calendars, and create and analyze reports. Demonstrate outstanding customer service and verbal/telephone communications skills. Demonstrate a deep product knowledge related to kitchen/bath trends to be able to answer customer questions and identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell. Be able to overcome objections by understanding customer needs, providing targeted solutions, and closing the sale. Be able to build influential relationships and trust with key vendor partners. Be able to build positive working relationships and inspire teamwork with co-workers. Be able to plan, organize, and multi-task. Be able to learn and operate the computer related systems used to process orders. Read, write, speak and understand English. Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
