Des Moines, IA (South) – Garden Center Sales Associate

The Role

Earl May Garden Center is seeking a part-time sales associate for its location in south Des Moines, Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Have high energy and a positive attitude
• Have excellent interpersonal skills
• Be a self-starter
• Have a strong work ethic
• Have strong decision-making and leadership skills
• Be sales-driven
• Have previous experience working in a retail or service environment
• Be able to lift 50 pounds
• Be able to work variable hours/shifts
• Have a valid driver’s license

Requirements

• Horticulture knowledge or landscape experience is a plus, but training will be provided for the right candidate
• Previous management, sales, and landscape design experience are a definite plus for full-time positions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
