The Role

Earl May Garden Center is seeking a part-time sales associate for its location in Cedar Rapids, Iowa (North).

Part-time employment may lead to a full-time opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Have high energy and a positive attitude
• Have excellent interpersonal skills
• Be a self-starter
• Have a strong work ethic
• Have strong decision-making and leadership skills
• Be sales-driven
• Have previous experience working in a retail or service environment
• Be able to lift 50 pounds
• Be able to work variable hours/shifts: evening and weekend availability

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Horticulture knowledge or landscape experience is a plus, but we will train the right person.
• Previous management, sales and landscape design experience are a definite plus for full time positions.
• Must be flexible with scheduling: evenings, weekends and days.
