Dermatology Medical Assistant - Arden, NC

Carolina Mountain Dermatology is seeking a dedicated Dermatology Medical Assistant to join the team in Arden, NC. The practice offers comprehensive skin and aesthetic wellness services, including medical dermatology, skin cancer care, and cosmetic treatments, and is committed to delivering compassionate, high‑quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs and medical histories.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare instruments, equipment, and procedure rooms.
• Conduct basic laboratory tests and handle specimens for analysis.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and office communications.
• Educate patients about treatments, medications, and appropriate skincare.
• Keep examination rooms clean, organized, and fully stocked.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
• Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
• Understanding of medical terminology, especially in dermatology.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective patient and staff interaction.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and basic office applications is a plus.
