About the role

The County of Santa Cruz invites you to apply for the position of DEPUTY SHERIFF LATERAL TRANSFER. Currently employed as a peace officer and transferring from another law enforcement agency – not entry level.

Responsibilities

- Participate in patrol activities. - Provide security services. - Enforce laws and ordinances. - Respond to emergency calls.

Requirements

- Must be bilingual (English/Spanish). - Valid driver’s license. - Completion of relevant training.

Qualifications

- At least 3 years of experience as a peace officer. - Successful completion of a background check.

Skills

- Strong communication skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Proficiency in Spanish.
