Deputy Ops Director

About the role

This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within an Aerospace & Defense environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day operations across multiple programs
• Develop, implement, and monitor operational procedures to ensure compliance
• Develop, implement, and monitor budgets, forecast and analyze variances
• Establish program metrics and use data-driven analysis to improve performance
• Build and manage high-performing leadership teams; maintain succession plans
• Identify and assess market trends and customer needs to find new opportunities
• Develop and manage relationships with partners and clients to expand revenue

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field; master’s degree preferred along with PE, PgMP, or PMP
• 15+ years of proven experience in operations management, program leadership, and strategic planning
• Experience in business development, sales, or marketing
• Strong leadership and team management skills with experience hiring, coaching, and mentoring program and project managers
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders

Pay

$170,000 – $230,000 annually
