Core Operational Leadership Duties Operational Oversight: Lead and manage day-to-day operations across multiple programs, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic plan, quarterly objectives, and long-term goals.Process & Compliance Management: Develop, implement, and monitor operational procedures; ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements; manage audits and corrective actions.Budget & Financial Oversight: Develop, implement, and monitor budgets; forecast, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions to meet fiscal targets.Performance Management: Establish program metrics; use data-driven analysis to improve operations and report impact to leadership.Team Leadership: Build and manage high-performing leadership teams; hire, coach, mentor, and conduct performance reviews; maintain succession plans. Business Development Responsibilities Market & Opportunity Analysis: Identify and assess market trends, customer needs, and potential new markets or services. Strategic Partnerships: Develop and manage relationships with partners, vendors, and potential clients to expand reach and revenue. Proposal & Sales Support: Prepare and present proposals, pitches, and business plans to secure new contracts, grants, or funding. Revenue Growth Initiatives: Lead or coordinate projects to increase market share or enter new geographic markets. Lead effort to mine task orders on existing contract vehicles.Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the organization to external/internal clients, regulators, and community stakeholders, building trust and credibility. Required Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field; master’s degree preferred along with PE, PG or PMP15+ years of proven experience in operations management, program leadership, and strategic planningExperience in business development, sales, or marketing Skills & Competencies Make timely, informed decisions balancing operational needs with growth opportunities Strong leadership and team management skills with experience hiring, coaching, and mentoring PM and PgM; familiarity with project management toolsStrategic thinking and the ability to balance operational execution with growth initiatives Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders Compensation Salary - $170-230k depending on experience and qualifications. The Deputy Operations Director will help ensure the organization runs efficiently while simultaneously driving new revenue streams, partnerships, and market expansion.
