Drive strategic analysis, execution, and organizational development to achieve financial and non-financial goals while fostering a lean mindset throughout the assigned DSD facility. This role focuses on improving safety, productivity, and performance through standardization and process discipline. Accountable for developing field personnel and meeting performance objectives in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Growth.

Responsibilities

  • Drive accident and injury reduction, including vehicle accident reduction targets in the assigned facility.
  • Provide case management and follow-up on all SAFE system cases, ensuring proper accident investigations, classifications, follow-ups, and Root Cause Counter Measures.
  • Promote a Safety First culture by ensuring monthly Regulatory and Safety in Motion training is completed by all employees and Safety Playbooks are implemented with 100% compliance.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance by conducting OSHA-style audits and closing any regulatory gaps to achieve 100% compliance.
  • Increase On Time and Accurate (OTA) score by addressing routing and delivery issues, ensuring pick accuracy exceeds 99.8% through full execution of Voice Pick standards and compliance with daily checklists, and reducing haulbacks.
  • Drive reduction in waste by ensuring the facility meets or exceeds break/shrink/obsolescence goals on a cost-per-case basis.
  • Ensure labor costs in warehouse and delivery operations meet or beat plan on a cost-per-case basis by driving Warehouse University principles, including deployment of the Warehouse Self-Assessment tool.
  • Communicate regularly with internal and external partners and customers through weekly operations calls and as-needed meetings to maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Drive facility-level engagement plans and ensure employee engagement across large teams and/or multiple sites.
  • Manage the facility P&L and ensure high performance results from your team.
  • Foster a culture of trust and well-being that prioritizes the team and values employee contributions.
  • Drive a shared vision with clear goals and accountability, supported by regular conversations to maximize talent.
  • Embrace diverse perspectives to foster innovation, learning from both successes and failures.
  • Establish a safe environment where team members are motivated, heard, and aligned with clear expectations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) with 7 years’ experience in a distribution center/DSD Warehouse environment OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field with 5 years’ experience in a distribution center/DSD Warehouse environment.
  • Strong understanding of Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal, State, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) compliance.
  • Experience presenting to executive leadership teams, local leadership teams, and frontline employees.
  • Prior people leadership experience in a distribution center or operations environment.
  • Ability to manage an operation strategically and tactically to deliver results and long-term initiatives.
  • Experience extracting data from business systems and analyzing it to make business decisions.
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of improving safety results, successful continuous improvement initiatives, and superior cost and management results.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Background in the management of Warehouse, Inventory, and Delivery.
  • Knowledge of material handling equipment (MHE), warehouse capacity requirements, building, loading, delivery principles, FIFO, and logistics principles.

Schedule

Travel up to 75% may be required at times.

Pay

$160,000 - $200,000 per year. Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors.

Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility.
