DEPUTY MANAGER - CHILDREN'S HOME (VIRGINIA WATER)

Pro Social Partners are partnering with North Star Children's Homes to recruit a Deputy Manager for their residential children's home in Virginia Water, Surrey. North Star is a growing provider supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

About the role

This is a hands-on leadership role splitting the week roughly half and half between shift and office. As Deputy Manager, you will:

• Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home, deputising fully in their absence.
• Lead shifts, supervise and develop support workers, and model excellent childcare practice.
• Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding on a day-to-day basis.
• Work a blend of two long days on shift and two office days each week, flexing to full office hours when the manager is away.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, placing authorities, and partner professionals.

Requirements

• A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or above (essential).
• At least three years' experience as a Deputy Manager in a children's home.
• Sound knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and safeguarding practice.
• The warmth and resilience to lead a team supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

• Competitive salary of £38,840 – £42,500 (dependent on experience) plus £60 per sleep-in.

Schedule
