Deputy Head Housekeeper

About the role

We are currently looking for a Deputy Head Housekeeper to support our Head Housekeeper with the efficient running of our housekeeping team. Some may say the housekeeping team are the backbone of the hotel operation. For our housekeeping team it is not just about making beds, it is about having an eye for detail and ensuring that our guests have a memorable experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Housekeeper by supporting and developing a team of Room Attendants and Linen Porters.
• Set an example, encourage their development, and carry out monthly performance reviews.
• Be proactive and hands‑on, leading the team from the front‑line to deliver exceptional standards across all areas of the hotel.
• Play a key role in the preparation and cleanliness of all bedrooms and public areas on a day‑to‑day basis.
• In the absence of the Head Housekeeper, take responsibility for the condition of all furnishings, fittings and equipment.
• Liaise with the maintenance team and manage all linen, deliveries and stock.

Requirements

Experience as a Deputy Head Housekeeper or within a similar role is preferred.

Pay

£14.35 per hour (OTE £15.45 per hour including tronc).

Schedule

35 hours per week, over 5 days.
