Deputy Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation Administrator
Job Summary
The anticipated hiring salary range is $85,000 - $95,000 per year. This is a CSU Management Personnel Plan (MPP) position.
The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays a year. Key Qualifications
- Knowledge of: Federal and state laws related to discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
- CSU DHR policies and procedures.
- Principles of human resources and employee relations or civil rights compliance (including Title VI).
- Case management systems and standard office technologies.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to exercise sound, impartial judgment in highly sensitive matters.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage complex caseloads and competing priorities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse campus stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure compliance with policy and legal standards.
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in:
- DHR/EEO/HR or related compliance.
- Employee relations, workplace investigations, or civil rights investigations.
- Independent management and resolution of a high-volume caseload of complex discrimination, harassment, retaliation, employee relations, or civil rights matters from intake through resolution, including independent case assessment, jurisdictional analysis, triage, risk assessment, and determination of appropriate resolution strategies.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience in higher education.
- Experience with Maxient, CaseIQ, or similar case management systems.
- Experience reviewing investigations, making findings, or overseeing case outcomes.
