About the role

As the Deputy Director, Operations, you will oversee and manage key Operations functions, including Production, Stores (Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Management), site Security, Facilities, Health and Safety, and Maintenance. This role also includes responsibility for CUAS Field Service Engineers (FSE), Field Applications Engineers (FAE), demonstration and training planning/scheduling, management of demo pool equipment assets, and supporting business development during customer visits.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Operations roles, including Production, Stores (Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Management), Site Security, Facilities, and Maintenance.
  • Oversee New Product Introduction (NPI) validation with Product Management, demo pool scheduling/assets, Application Engineering, and Field Service Engineers.
  • Coordinate personnel staffing for training, customer demos, acceptance testing/validation, and software testing/QA.
  • Develop maintenance plans for systems and infrastructure (equipment, vehicles, trailers, generators, etc.) and the ADP test facility (SageWorks).
  • Manage the development of training materials for C-UAS/DefenseOS Operators and associated products.
  • Coordinate, gather, test, validate, and arrange transportation of equipment/assets for demos or trade shows.
  • Shape technology direction by collaborating with engineering to identify software/hardware areas needing refinement, updates, or integration of emerging technologies.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for program/NPI execution, system installation, troubleshooting, and on-site customer maintenance visits.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Operations management.
  • Experience creating and managing detailed asset tracking/scheduling systems, including preventative maintenance.
  • Managing personnel to support Business Development through demos, customer visits, and training.
  • Support engineering and Product Management with validation testing, customer feedback, and performance improvements.
  • BS in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Data mining and generation within MS Excel.
  • Strong communication skills for Teams meetings, email, presentations, and executive management updates.
  • Attention to detail in reporting, metrics, and task execution.

Working Conditions

The role may involve diverse environments, from general office settings to warehouses and other facilities. Physical demands include the ability to stoop, stand, climb, and occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Movement between departments, floors, and worksites is required.

Additional Requirements

  • This position requires access to information and technology subject to U.S. export control laws, including ITAR. Employment is contingent on meeting export control eligibility requirements.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without visa sponsorship.
  • Travel up to 25% may be required.

Pay

Salary range: $131,000 - $150,000 annually, depending on relevant experience, education, training, and skills. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
