About the role
The Town of Leesburg seeks an experienced and innovative individual to join their team. Located in the heart of DC's Wine Country, this community offers a blend of rural charm and urban amenities.
Responsibilities
- Review engineering and construction plans for compliance with codes, regulations, and Town standards.
- Supervise the Transportation Division and pavement management program, including bridge inspections and maintenance.
- Support the Director of Public Works with personnel management, bonding program oversight, and day-to-day operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with coursework in civil engineering.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of civil engineering experience, including at least three (3) years of management/supervisory experience.
- Current P.E. registration in Virginia, or ability to obtain within one (1) year of employment.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in civil, environmental, construction management, engineering management, or related field preferred.
- Five (5) years of managerial/supervisory experience preferred.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

- Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
