Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of large, complex construction projects serving as a client liaison and leading project teams.
  • Engage in the Construction Management community, mentor staff, and document lessons learned.
  • Support recruitment by screening candidates, interviewing, and collaborating with HR on employment offers.
  • Serve as a liaison with clients, agencies, and stakeholders; represent company at meetings and public forums.
  • Monitor contractor schedules and address delays.
  • Review inspection reports, material test reports, RFIs, submittals, schedules, shop drawings, change orders, and pay applications for accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate activities across disciplines and resolve project issues promptly.
  • Implement and enforce company, client, and project policies, procedures, best practices, standards, quality frameworks, and proper use of IP and reusable assets.
  • Promote and ensure adherence to company and client health and safety programs.
  • Oversee post-construction closeout, including final deliverables, punch lists, warranties, and invoicing.

Requirements

  • Highly effective in assembling and leading project teams.
  • Tech-savvy in all relevant areas of planning, analysis, construction, and systems management, and understanding of various project delivery methods.
  • Accountable for making decisions on large complex projects.
  • Inspires project teams to higher levels of achievement.
  • Effective in managing sub-consultants and equipment suppliers/vendors.
  • Demonstrates technical skills identifying scope changes and risk management.
  • Holds professional licensure or construction manager certification (CCM) or ability to obtain.

Qualifications

  • Degree in construction management or engineering (civil) or other related engineering field with a minimum of 10-12 years of experience or technical school 2-year degree/diploma in a related program with a minimum 12-14 years of experience.
  • Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience successfully executing technical aspects of a wide range of medium to complex Transit projects, including Alternate Project Delivery (APD).
  • Experience working on large complex projects with construction value more than $500M (transit experience preferred).

Pay

$141,500.00 - $212,200.00 Annually
