Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day airline catering operations for assigned accounts.
- Ensure flights are provisioned accurately and on time.
- Verify meal quantities, flight sealing, and proper aircraft handovers.
- Make real-time operational decisions to resolve issues and maintain uninterrupted service.
- Cookordination with station teams to ensure on-time performance.
- Directly supervise Flight Coordinators and operational support staff.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and shift coverage.
- Coach, mentor, and develop employees through ongoing feedback.
- Conduct performance evaluations and address performance concerns.
- Participate in disciplinary actions and employee counseling.
- Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Lead the operation in the absence of the Account Manager.
- Manage operational communications between airline customers and internal departments.
- Cookordinate production, packing, dispatch, and delivery teams.
- Ensure accurate communication of flight information and invoicing requirements.
- Support customer issue resolution and maintain strong client relationships.
- Identify operational challenges and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor food production flow and tray-setting timelines.
- Improve operational efficiency and eliminate process bottlenecks.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Monitor adherence to food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and operational procedures.
- Monitor daily inventory and equipment availability.
- Assist with monthly inventories.
- Support menu changes and special meal requirements.
- Ensure efficient use of operational resources.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in airline catering or aviation operations.
- Knowledge of airline catering operational processes, operational sequences, and logistics.
- Experience leading and motivating teams through employee coaching, scheduling, performance management, employee development, and conflict resolution.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under pressure, plan and coordinate operations, manage resources, oversee inventory, and drive process improvements through effective problem-solving.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build strong client relationships and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Highly organized with strong implementation, execution, and project coordination skills, while maintaining accountability and ownership of operational results.
- Results driven with a strong commitment to customer service, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
