Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (additional hours as necessary to meet department objectives)

About the Role

Assumes responsibility for staffing, planning, directing, and controlling the bank's Deposit Services department.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure prescribed schedules and operating policies and procedures are followed.
  • Make recommendations regarding improved operating policies and procedures, changes in employment, salary, and performance ratings for employees.
  • Allocate work and assist in training personnel.
  • Promote positive customer service attitudes among department employees.
  • Create a culture of trust, accountability, and respect guided by the Speed of Trust and Our Shared Future.
  • Maintain open communications to support an informed and empowered work group.
  • Maintain tight and efficient controls of settlement procedures and documentation as directed by Corporate Policy and SOX Controls.
  • Lead, motivate, train, evaluate, and reward Deposit Services staff members.
  • Review and take appropriate action on serious problems within each functional area.
  • Approve general ledger entries and online dollar entries.
  • Monitor various aging reports for outstanding items.
  • Oversee daily operations of the following functions:
    • Deposit Account and Customer maintenance requests
    • New Deposit Account Verification
    • PA State Unclaimed Property processing and reporting
    • Official Accounts Reconcilement
    • CIP/CDD Policy adherence and enforcement (USA Patriot Act and S&T Bank Corporate Policy)
    • Deposit Document Review and Approval
    • Time Deposit Reconcilement and Support
    • IRA Reconcilement, Support, and Government Reporting
    • Report review to ensure integrity of deposit account coding
    • PA IOLTA compliance, account reconcilement, and monthly remittance
    • SSA and Accuity Verification Requests
    • Government Reporting & Tax Documentation Corrections
    • Administration of DESA accounts
  • Maintain monthly Productivity Reporting statistics for direct functional areas.
  • Ensure all assigned reconcilements are completed in accordance with corporate policy.
  • Act as a liaison with legal counsel on deposit-related issues, including legal documentation.
  • Assist with input and control of FIS Bank Control parameters related to Deposits, IFMS, Safebox, Retirements, and CIS.
  • Work with vendors to upgrade and test hardware and software related to daily processing.
  • Maintain and update Disaster Recovery plan information for Deposit Services.
  • Assist the Deposit Operations Manager with merger and acquisition planning, deposit data mapping, test report review, and conversion activities.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with bank employees, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent.
  • More than ten years of general experience.
  • Two to five years of specialized training.

Physical Demands

  • Operates a keypad device 70-80% of the day.
  • Operates electronic equipment 0-10% of the day.
  • Travel to alternate work locations 0-10%, overnight stays 0-10%.
  • Primary body parts involved: fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists, and elbows.
  • Standing 10-20%, sitting 70-80% of the day.

Pay

Salary Range: $55,000.00 - $156,450.00
