Deployment Support Technician

About the role

This role involves profiling and shipping out hardware. The primary focus is on Windows OS, Office Suite, and the installation of various applications. The technician will handle data entry, operational support, and data maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Data entry and updating across tools like Excel, SmartSheet, and ServiceNow
• Maintaining hardware lifecycle tracking, asset reporting, and inventory documentation
• Supporting back-end processes within an IT warehouse and logistics environment
• Writing routine reports and correspondence
• Responding to inquiries and complaints from clients, colleagues, and supervisors
• Presenting information to internal departments and large groups
• Overseeing daily operations for a specified location, including software, hardware, tape backups, phone administration, and local area network
• Installing and upgrading Microsoft Windows operating systems and associated peripherals
• Maintaining daily backups of network files
• Performing service administration tasks for software and hardware products to ensure manufacturer warranties
• Aiding in the purchasing of new computer equipment and peripherals for a specified location
• Performing software and hardware inventory
• Basic administration of phone and voicemail systems for a site
• Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Exceptional customer skills
• Skills in Data Entry, Excel, Word, Outlook, ServiceNow, SmartSheet, O365, Customer service, Inventory Tracking, Basic Troubleshooting
• Knowledge of financial terms and principles
• Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and allocations
• Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret situations
• Ability to solve problems involving several options
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills

Qualifications

• Entry level experience
• Ability to follow set procedures and maintain accuracy and consistency
