Department of Medicine Senior Investigator and/or Division Chief

Responsibilities

Developing a funded clinical or basic research program.

Strong and/or developing record of peer-reviewed publications demonstrating research productivity and ability to obtain extramural funding support.

Involvement in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.

Participation in other academic activities.

Requirements

Hold an MD, PhD, or MD/PhD degree.

If clinical component, hold or be eligible for medical licensure in Illinois and possess either an MD or MD/PhD degree and board certification.

Qualifications

Doctoral degree in relevant field.

Experience in research and publication.

Ability to secure external funding.

Teaching experience, particularly with medical students, residents, and fellows.
