Department of Communication & Media Studies - Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) Pool
About the role
Instructional Student Assistants (ISAs) at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) assist one or more regular faculty members with various professional, technical, and research-based duties associated with the subjects or programs in the Department of Communication.
Responsibilities
- Publishing course materials to Canvas page
- Responding to student emails
- Recording class attendance
- Using rubrics to evaluate student work
- Providing feedback on discussion posts
- Entering grades in Canvas gradebook
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate/graduate student at CSUSB
- Maintain academic eligibility throughout employment period (3.0 GPA or higher)
- Able to work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students
Preferred Qualifications
- For undergraduate applicants, successful completion of the course (or similar courses) for which the applicant will act as ISA
Special Conditions
- The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.
- A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate may start work with CSUSB. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may result in the withdrawal of the offer of employment.

$17.86 – $23.84 Per Hour
