About the role
The Instructional Student Assistant will assist one or more regular faculty members or the teaching staff with various professional, technical and research based duties associated generally with the subjects or programs in the department of Child, Adolescent, and Family Studies.
Responsibilities
- Assist faculty with administrative tasks such as grading, record keeping, and scheduling
- Support faculty in conducting research projects
- Participate in tutoring and mentoring sessions
- Assist with preparing instructional materials and resources
- Work collaboratively with faculty to enhance educational programs
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate/graduate student at CSUSB
- Maintain academic eligibility throughout employment period (3.0 GPA or higher)
- Able to work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students
- Accept responsibility for assigned tasks
Qualifications
- Completion of specific coursework may be required in order to teach, grade or tutor a course
- Evidence of the ability to work closely with the faculty supervisor to complete the required tasks for the specific position
Skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
