About the role
Department Managers lead shifts, ensuring high-quality, service, and cleanliness standards are met. They oversee multiple departments such as the People, Guest, and Kitchen Departments, and manage Shift Managers.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor shifts to ensure team meets McDonald’s standards
- Communicate with Shift Managers to prepare for their shifts
- Meet and exceed department and shift targets
- Manage internal communication, inventory, and daily maintenance
- Ensure safety, security, and profitability
- Lead and train team members
- Handle Shift Management responsibilities
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience preferred, ideally in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule and willingness to have fun
- Must be 18 years or older
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in food service or related field
