About the role
Department Managers lead shifts, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They oversee multiple departments such as People, Guest, Kitchen, and Shift Management, managing performance, safety, and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor shifts to ensure high-quality service and cleanliness.
- Communicate with the next Shift Manager to prepare for their shift.
- Meet and exceed department and shift targets.
- Manage crew and handle internal communication.
- Perform inventory management, daily maintenance, and cleanliness checks.
- Ensure quality food production and exceptional customer service.
- Oversee safety and security protocols.
- Schedule staff and manage their schedules.
- Train new team members.
Requirements
A previous leadership role, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting, is preferred. Must be 18 years or older.
Qualifications
Positive attitude, flexibility, and a passion for working in a fast-paced environment are essential. Must be able to communicate effectively and work well with others.
Skills
Leadership, communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills are crucial. Knowledge of McDonald’s standards and procedures is beneficial.
