Department Manager

About the role

This job posting is for a management position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee has a license to use McDonald’s logos and food products but is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is responsible for all employment matters, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts to ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
• Manage assigned departments such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Ensure Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience.
• Manage sales promotions and train service staff in procedures.
• Organize Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas for optimal service.
• Hire, train, and schedule qualified crew members to meet sales and profit goals.
• Support Crew in getting off to a good start and recognizing and motivating them.

Requirements

• Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive team player with flexible schedules and a passion for the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in a Cochran Family McDonald's restaurant.
