About the role
This job posting is for a Department Manager position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is a separate company and employer, responsible for all employment matters.
Responsibilities
- Lead shifts to ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
- Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
- Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to your team and other managers.
- Ensure the Guest Service Department delivers a great customer experience.
- Ensure the Kitchen Department delivers great quality food and fast service.
- Ensure the People Department hires qualified crew, trains them well, and schedules them to meet sales and profit goals.
Requirements
- Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
- Positive team player with flexible schedules, available on weekdays, nights, and weekends.
- Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- PoS and Microsoft Office computer skills including Word and Excel.
- Ridiculously strong people skills, focusing on guest and employee interactions.
- High standards and a commitment to quality, service, cleanliness, and value.
- Strong communication skills, professional and clear, with the ability to coach and inspire.
- A desire for continuous improvement and learning.
Qualifications
- Ability to teach and train side-by-side with your team to develop your staff.
- Open availability and flexible scheduling around the needs of the restaurant.
