About the role
This job posting is for a Department Swing Manager position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is responsible for employment matters including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, and scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
- Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
- Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to teams and other managers.
- Ensure Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience.
- Pursue sales promotions effectively.
- Train service staff in service procedures.
- Organize Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas for optimal service.
- Ensure the restaurant delivers high-quality food and fast service.
- Control food costs and train kitchen staff in production procedures.
- Hire, train, and schedule qualified crew members to meet sales and profit goals.
- Support Crew members during their initial period at the restaurant and motivate them throughout their tenure.
Requirements
- Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
- Positive team player with flexible schedules and a passion for the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
- Must be 18 years or older to be considered for management positions.
