This job posting is for a Department Manager position at a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. If hired, the franchisee will be the employer.
About the role
The role is vital to the restaurant’s operations. Department Managers lead shifts and may manage assigned systems such as Employee Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management. They are responsible for leading the experience by directly supporting the General Manager, ensuring restaurant performance meets Quality Standards in three areas: Kitchen, People, and Service.
Responsibilities
- Take action first: Lead important internal functions including Employee Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management
- Be results oriented: Effectively delegate tasks to team members and report back results
- Lead the experience: Directly support the General Manager to achieve restaurant performance and Quality Standards
- Understand that teamwork is key: Partner with restaurant team to ensure safe and efficient operations of the restaurant
Requirements
- A commitment to excellence and safety in the workplace

- The ability to communicate effectively and anticipate customer needs
- To provide solutions and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Previous managerial experience, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment
- Positive team player with flexible schedules and a passion for the fast-paced McDonald’s environment
- Must be 18 years or older to apply
