Department Manager

About the role

The role involves leading shifts and departments in a McDonald’s restaurant operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee is a separate entity from McDonald’s USA and is solely responsible for employment matters.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience every visit.
• Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to teams and other managers.
• Lead the Guest Service Department, ensuring staff deliver a great customer experience, manage sales promotions, train service staff, and organize service areas.
• Lead the Kitchen Department, ensuring high-quality food delivery, food safety, food cost control, and staff training.
• Lead the People Department, hiring qualified staff, training them, and scheduling them to meet sales and profit goals.
• Support new employees and motivate them throughout their tenure.

Requirements

• Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• A positive attitude and a passion for working in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule and the ability to work in a dynamic, energetic setting.
• Must be 18 years or older to be considered for the role.

Qualifications
