Department Manager
About the role
The role involves leading shifts and departments in a McDonald's restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. As a manager, responsibilities include ensuring a fast, accurate, friendly customer experience, managing sales promotions, training staff, organizing service areas, and hiring and training qualified crew members.
Responsibilities
- Lead shifts to ensure a fast, accurate, friendly customer experience.
- Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
- Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to teams and other managers.
- Ensure the restaurant delivers high-quality food and maintains food safety standards.
- Control food costs and train kitchen staff in production procedures.
- Hire, train, and schedule staff to meet sales and profit goals.
- Support new employees and motivate existing staff.
Requirements
- Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
- Positive team player with flexible schedules and a passion for the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
- Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in corporate-owned McDonald's restaurants.
