Department Manager

About the role

This job posting is for a management position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is responsible for employment matters such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience.
• Manage assigned Systems, such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Set goals, delegate tasks to teams, follow up, and report results.
• Ensure Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience.
• Manage Sales Promotions effectively.
• Train Service Staff in service procedures.
• Organize Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas for optimal service.
• Ensure the restaurant delivers high-quality food to customers, maintains food safety, controls food costs, and trains kitchen staff in production procedures.
• Hire, train, and schedule qualified crew members to meet restaurant sales and profit goals.
• Support Crew members in getting off to a good start and motivating them throughout their time working there.

Requirements

• Previous managerial experience, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive team player with flexible schedules and a passion for working in the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to apply for a management position in a corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurant.
