About the role

As a Department Manager, you’ll lead your team to create an inclusive culture that supports collaboration and entrepreneurship. Your responsibilities include ensuring an excellent customer experience, analyzing sales data, and optimizing results and profits.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Sales & Profit
    • Ensure visual and commercial curation according to global guidelines
    • Represent the H&M brand positively during customer interactions
    • Manage sales and budget goals, creating plans to optimize results
    • Provide product and fashion knowledge as well as other relevant information during customer interactions
    • Manage your department in a cost-efficient way
    • Ensure correct routines in fitting room and checkout, including transaction, returns, and exchanges
    • Handle administrative tasks for both people and operations
  • Fashion & Trend Awareness
    • Keep up-to-date with fashion trends and competitors
    • Ensure your team provides product and fashion knowledge
  • Team & Development
    • Recruit, onboard, and develop your team
    • Conduct performance evaluations and succession planning
    • Communicate regularly with store colleagues
    • Follow procedures and legal requirements in all areas of the store
  • Retail Operations & Visual & Commercial Execution
    • Secure a clean and tidy sales floor and back of house
    • Ensure high fashion quality, visual, and commercial product presentation
    • Manage stock levels and provide input on allocation to Area team
    • Secure a strong balance and the maintenance of price signs
    • Update and maintain BOH areas for all colleagues

Compensation: expected base salary range is $26.60- $30.59 hourly
