About the role

The Department of Biological Systems Engineering (BSE) at the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources (IANR) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln seeks an innovative, dynamic, and collaborative individual to serve as the Head of the Department. This position provides intellectual and strategic leadership for the department.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• PhD in Biological Systems Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in academia or industry.
• Proven track record of successful leadership and management.
• Experience in securing external funding and managing grants.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
