Job Summary

This position involves teaching in the Augusta University Dental Associates faculty practice clinic, participating in department research, and maintaining support for the FOSTER Program.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality patient care in the Augusta University Dental Associates faculty practice clinic.
  • Participate in department research initiatives and prepare manuscripts for publication.
  • Lead or serve on DCG and AU level committees and support other professional service opportunities.
  • Maintain compliance with professional licensure requirements, mandatory training, and college/university policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Assistant Professor - Early level career with relevant background, education, and training.
  • Associate Professor - Mid level career with at least five years as Assistant Professor.
  • Professor - Senior level career with at least five years as Associate Professor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of experience in dental education and 5 years in a relevant administrative leadership role.
  • Post-graduate training in prosthodontics, operative dentistry/general dentistry, or relevant experiences in dental education.
  • Significant clinical experience.

Shift/Salary/Benefits

This position is fiscal year based and works year-round. It is full-time with a full-time equivalent (FTE) of 1.0. Salary and benefits are commensurate with education, experience, and achievements, and include comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 13 paid holidays, vacation leave, sick leave, retirement plans, tuition waiver, wellness options, and more. Employees with more than 6 months of employment can be considered for the Tuition Assistance Program.
