Department Chair - Dermatology

About the role

The Department Chair of Dermatology at CHI Health Clinic and Creighton University School of Medicine will lead the department, expanding clinical, research, and educational activities. This role involves working in an academic and teaching environment, conducting research, and growing the department across the academic medical center and new outpatient clinics.

Responsibilities

• Leading a growing group of academic dermatologists in a large referral base
• Collaborating with the MOHS Surgery program and cosmetic services
• Teaching Creighton University’s residents and medical students
• Conducting research in collaboration with faculty at CommonSpirit Health and Creighton University School of Medicine
• Growing the system-wide Dermatology Department, including the academic medical center and new outpatient clinics
• Providing leadership in developing and implementing clinical programs

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification or eligibility in Dermatology
• Active or eligible license in the state of Nebraska
• Strong clinical skills with experience in programmatic development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care
• Clinical and leadership experience commensurate with the rank of Associate Professor or Professor at Creighton University School of Medicine
