About the role

Join a dynamic academic community where your organizational expertise and administrative skills play a vital role in supporting student success, faculty excellence, and innovative programs. As a Department Assistant within the School of STEM, you will provide high-level administrative support to academic leadership, including a disciplinary program administrator, the Director of the School of STEM, and the Dean of the College of Nursing, Health Professions and STEM.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate meetings, events, travel arrangements, and operational activities
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for a wide range of stakeholders
  • Prepare and maintain records and communications
  • Develop, implement, and maintain methods and organizational systems directed at the maintenance of electronic/physical records related to department operations according to established policies and procedures
  • Exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and contribute to a welcoming and well-organized academic environment

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Google Suite and Adobe Suite software programs

Compensation

Starting at $20.00 commensurate with experience

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Google Suite and Adobe Suite software programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in state policies governing General Program Revenue funds
  • Previous experience with UW Oshkosh institutional processes for purchasing, travel and vendor payments
  • Previous experience in managing grant applications
