Department Assistant
About the role

As a Department Assistant within the School of STEM, you will provide high-level administrative support to academic leadership, including a disciplinary program administrator, the Director of the School of STEM, and the Dean of the College of Nursing, Health Professions and STEM.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate meetings, events, travel arrangements, and operational activities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for a wide range of stakeholders
- Prepare and maintain records and communications
- Develop, implement, and maintain methods and organizational systems directed at the maintenance of electronic/physical records related to department operations according to established policies and procedures
- Exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and contribute to a welcoming and well-organized academic environment
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Google Suite and Adobe Suite software programs

Compensation
Starting at $20.00 commensurate with experience
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Google Suite and Adobe Suite software programs
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in state policies governing General Program Revenue funds
- Previous experience with UW Oshkosh institutional processes for purchasing, travel and vendor payments
- Previous experience in managing grant applications
