The Office of Human Resources (OHR) provides essential services and support to the 13,000 employees and more than 40 agencies that make up the City and County of Denver. The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The target hiring range for this position is $95,000.00 - $110,000.00/year, based on experience and education. What You’ll Do

  • Coach and consult with senior leaders to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Partner with the business to develop strategies and initiatives that promote a culture of equity and engagement
  • Build collaborative partnerships with the Centers of Excellence including Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Classification, Learning and Development and Benefits to recommend and inform business solutions
  • Research, develop, and execute HR solutions that deliver measurable business results
  • Execute HR strategies, initiatives and practices that promote a strong performance culture emphasizing engagement, learning and development, talent management, and workforce planning
  • Effectively manage employee relation issues and investigation

What You’ll Bring

  • At least 5 years working as an HR Professional for a complex organization and managing and investigating employee relations issues
  • Ability to hold leaders accountable and help them stand firm in their decisions
  • Experience guiding workforce planning and organizational development initiatives
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Confidence in knowledge
  • Ability to build professional relationships with a variety of people, at all levels of the organization
  • Experience providing and receiving feedback to/from leaders and employees

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
  • Experience: Five (5) years of professional human resources experience
