Responsibilities

  • Provides dental care and treatment to referred patients in accordance with facility regulations and standards.
  • Performs routine cleaning, restorative dentistry, and extractions as needed.
  • Evaluates patients' dental care needs and makes clinically appropriate recommendations.
  • Takes impressions for dental appliances and instructs patients in good dental hygiene techniques.
  • Maintains accurate and confidential patient records and provides in-service training for health staff members.
  • Adheres to the security regulations of the facility.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation of services and provides it to the director or designee to ensure compliance with client contract and proper compensation for services rendered.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of dental medicine.
  • One year of experience in general dentistry preferred.
  • Must have and maintain current licensure as a dentist within the state of employment.
  • Must obtain and maintain CPR certification.
