Dentist, CF - California State Prison, Corcoran (COR)
Job Summary
This is a limited term position which may be extended or become permanent. Located at Corcoran State Prison, in Corcoran, Kings County.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver dental care, including preventive care, to patients at a State correctional facility under the supervision of the Supervising Dentist, Correctional Facility.
- Participate in performance management activities to continuously improve the Dental Program.
- Delegate appropriate levels of responsibility to the Supervising Dental Assistant, CF, Dental Assistant, CF, and Dental Hygienist, CF and be responsible for the quality of their work.
- Maintain order and supervise the conduct of the incarcerated and protect and maintain the safety of persons and property.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited dental school and possess a valid California Dental Board license. Previous experience in a correctional setting is preferred but not required. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
