About the role
Join our team as a Dental Receptionist, serving as the first point of contact in a community-focused dental clinic.
Responsibilities
- Answering phone calls, transferring calls, and taking messages
- Greeting patients, maintaining logs, and providing translation services as needed
- Collecting and updating patient data, creating and managing patient charts
- Scheduling appointments, notifying providers of cancellations and no-shows
- Verifying insurance eligibility, assisting with insurance questions
- Responding to patient inquiries via phone, in person, or online
- Performing billing functions, posting encounters, and reconciling cash
- Managing referrals and recall processes for follow-up care
- Performing documentation and treatment plan estimates, collecting fees
- Performing additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED
- PREFERRED: Experience in clinical, optometry, or dental offices
- BILINGUAL (English/Spanish) at a proficient level
- STRONG MULTITASKING, COMMUNICATION, AND CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS
- PROFICIENCY WITH MICROSOFT OFFICE AND BASIC MEDICAL/DENTAL TERMINOLOGY
