About the role
This is a senior-level practice leadership role responsible for the overall performance, operations, and culture of a large, 4-doctor dental office. This position goes beyond traditional office management, requiring a leader who can successfully oversee a complex, high-volume environment while developing team members and driving strong business results.
Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Development: Coach, mentor, and develop front office and clinical support leaders, fostering accountability, engagement, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee workflows, staffing coordination, and daily systems to ensure efficient patient flow and consistency across all providers within the practice.
- Business & Financial Performance: Monitor and drive key performance indicators including production, collections, scheduling optimization, and expense management, in partnership with doctors and leadership.
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with doctors to align on practice goals, implement initiatives, and support long-term growth and success.
- Patient Experience: Ensure a consistently high-quality, patient-first experience through strong communication, service standards, and operational execution across the entire practice.
Requirements
- Proven dental office management experience, ideally in a high-volume or multi-provider setting
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, develop, and hold team members accountable
- Business acumen with experience managing KPIs, financial performance, and operational workflows
- Able to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, complex environment
- A commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and fostering a positive team culture
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- 3–5+ years of dental office management experience required (experience in large or multi-provider practices strongly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of dental insurance, billing, and practice management systems
- Experience with dental software platforms (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, or Denticon)
