The Opportunity The Dental Network Development Specialist is responsible for expanding and strengthening MetLife's dental provider network across the Northeast Region of the United States. In this role, you will source, recruit, negotiate, and contract with dentists to support the growth and accessibility of MetLife's Preferred Dentist Program (PDP) PPO and Dental HMO networks. This is an exciting opportunity to build strategic relationships with dental professionals, influence network expansion efforts, and collaborate with sales, operations, and network management teams to deliver exceptional value to customers and members. A top candidate must be located in the Northeast Area - NJ, NY, PA, MA, CT Key Responsibilities Lead recruitment, negotiation, and contracting efforts to expand participation in MetLife's dental network programs while supporting profitability goals.Create and execute targeted provider recruitment strategies to enhance network access and meet the needs of members, employer groups, and business partners throughout the Northeast Region.Utilize network analytics, provider reporting, and market intelligence tools, including Network360, to identify recruitment opportunities and support network growth initiatives.Partner with Group Sales and internal stakeholders to develop and execute network recruitment campaigns that support customer acquisition and retention objectives.Manage provider relationships and maintain accurate activity tracking through CRM platforms, including Salesforce. Required Qualifications 3+ years of professional experience recruiting dentists, developing provider networks, and/or working within a dental practice environment.Proven sales, relationship-building, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence and establish partnerships with dental providers.Experience using CRM systems, such as Salesforce, and leveraging digital and AI-enabled tools to manage provider outreach, recruitment activities, pipeline tracking, and workflow efficiency.Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% as required to support provider recruitment and relationship management activities.Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Dental Health Maintenance Organization (DHMO - Managed Care) provider networks, including provider recruitment, contracting, credentialing, or network management (highly preferred).Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including creating and analyzing spreadsheets, working with pivot tables, and utilizing reporting tools.Experience using network management, provider analytics, or financial retention tools to support business decision-making.Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail. The expected salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000. This role may also be eligible for incentive compensation under the sales plan for the position. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
