Dental Lab Technician (Denture Model)

About the role

This is a trainee position at NDX Rogers Dental Laboratory in Athens, TN that requires no experience. Hands-on, paid training is provided.

Schedule

Full-time position with regular hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Fridays. Hours are subject to change from time to time.

Responsibilities

• Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist
• Model work for fixed and removable cases
• Processing
• Investing and packing dentures, partials, night guards
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Knowledge of tooth anatomy
• Ability to articulate according to Rx
• Knowledge of materials (i.e. stones, acrylic)
• Identify through impressions margins

Qualifications

• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: 12 months of experience as a Dental Laboratory Technician and is skilled in one or more of the tasks associated with a Dental Laboratory Technician
• No experience required; we offer paid on-the-job training

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach
• Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions
• Read and interpret prescriptions and other required documentation
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information
• Vision capabilities: depth perception, attention to detail, and/or color
