Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining patient records and updating medical histories
- Performing X-ray procedures and assisting providers during exams
- Providing preventative periodontal treatments and restorative functions
- Administering local anesthesia and nitrous oxide analgesia
- Educating patients on oral hygiene and developing treatment plans
- Ensuring infection control and sterilization protocols are followed
- Participating in dental education programs and adhering to regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program
- Active Dental Hygiene license for the state of practice
- CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred, with potential for differential pay
- Knowledge of dental practices, anesthesia, and restorative procedures
- Strong manual dexterity, communication skills, and basic computer proficiency
