Responsibilities
- Maintaining patient records and updating medical history and vital signs
- Performing X-ray procedures and assisting providers during exams
- Providing preventative periodontal care, including scaling and sealants
- Placing and carving restorations, applying cavity liners, and managing temporary crowns
- Administering local anesthesia and nitrous oxide analgesia
- Educating patients on oral hygiene and developing treatment plans
- Contributing to dental education programs and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program
- Active Dental Hygiene license for the state of practice
- CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, with potential bilingual differential pay
- Knowledge of dental practices, anesthesia, and restorative procedures
- Strong interpersonal, time management, manual dexterity, and computer skills
