Responsibilities

• Take Radiographs of patients at direction of dentist
• Scale, polish, and floss patient's teeth
• Give appropriate home care instructions to patient
• Apply topical fluoride to teeth of patient, particularly children, at dentist direction
• Chart existing conditions of patient at time of examination by dentist
• Clean and properly sterilize instruments and operatory
• Complete chart of treatment performed, initial and give to dentist for review

Qualifications

• Licensed Dental Hygienist
• Certified in Radiology for Dentistry
