Dental Hygienist-FLEXIBLE HOURS

About the role

Danbury DAC, an office within Dental Associates of Connecticut, provides quality dental and personal care in a welcoming environment. We serve patients across Connecticut and employ specialists in various dental fields.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, fluoride application, and sealant application
• Screen for oral cancer, examine gums, use probes to assess periodontal disease, and document findings
• Select appropriate materials and equipment based on patient's oral health
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative care
• Document vital signs, medical and dental histories, and chart patient visits
• Ensure sterilization of dental equipment
• Take x-rays as needed and recommended by the ADA

Requirements

• Strong work ethic and team player
• Associate’s degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Valid license to practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in Connecticut
• Available to work within current office hours, specific shifts to be determined

• Proven ability to follow outlined policies and guidelines
• Possess a professional and positive attitude

Skills

• Preferred: Dental office experience
• Preferred: Dentrix Ascend software experience
