Dental Hygienist
About the role
Florence Family Dentistry is seeking a Dental Hygienist for a temporary part-time position. This role is open to new graduates and experienced providers.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive dental hygiene services to patients
- Document patient histories and dental screenings accurately
- Collaborate with the patient care team to ensure patient satisfaction
- Participate in ongoing continuing education to enhance clinical skills
- Support the mentor program for hygiene development
- Contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care
Requirements
- Current dental hygienist license in Kentucky
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry and dental hygiene procedures
- CPR Certification
- Experience with Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and growing clinical skills
Qualifications
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/Doctor/Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically throughout the year

Schedule
The schedule is part-time, with a range of $45-$60 per hour.

TB Test
A tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment.
