Dental Hygienist

About the role

Florence Family Dentistry is seeking a Dental Hygienist for a temporary part-time position. This role is open to new graduates and experienced providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental hygiene services to patients
• Document patient histories and dental screenings accurately
• Collaborate with the patient care team to ensure patient satisfaction
• Participate in ongoing continuing education to enhance clinical skills
• Support the mentor program for hygiene development
• Contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care

Requirements

• Current dental hygienist license in Kentucky
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry and dental hygiene procedures
• CPR Certification
• Experience with Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and growing clinical skills

• Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/Doctor/Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
• Prolonged periods sitting and standing
• Able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically throughout the year

Schedule

The schedule is part-time, with a range of $45-$60 per hour.

TB Test

A tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process, and any necessary guidance or paperwork will be provided.
