Dental Hygienist
About the role
The State of Minnesota is seeking an experienced Dental Hygienist to join our Special Care Dentistry – Southern Cities, Faribault Dental Clinic Team. This position will provide comprehensive oral hygiene services to patients with intellectual/developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, and severe and persistent mental illness.
Responsibilities
- Perform all services permitted by the state Board of Dentistry to maintain maximum oral hygiene for patients.
- Implement a preventive dentistry program in collaboration with the dentist to ensure optimal oral hygiene.
- Follow infection control policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment.
- Aid in clinic operations to ensure effective and efficient patient services and communications.
Requirements
- Registration with the Minnesota Board of Dentistry as a Dental Hygienist.
- Experience working with Dentrix and taking digital radiographs.
- Experience with tele dentistry.
- Caring and compassionate attitude towards people with special needs.
- Patient-centered approach and willingness to adapt to patient needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- College transcript or degree indicating completion of relevant coursework.
- Documentation of tuberculosis test results.

Schedule
This position is part-time, working 30 hours per week on a Monday-Thursday schedule, with Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays off, and a day shift.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $33.86 - $44.93 per hour.
