Responsibilities

• Provide dental hygiene services to patients
• Document patient histories and dental screenings
• Use various dental hygiene tools and technologies
• Collaborate with the patient care team
• Participate in ongoing education and skill development

Requirements

• Current dental hygienist license in Louisiana
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
• CPR Certification
• New graduates and experienced hygienists are encouraged to apply
• Experience with Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and growing clinical skills

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a current dental hygienist license in Louisiana and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, and medical history documentation
• Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
• Able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds occasionally
• Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/Doctor/Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation

Pay

$2,500 sign-on bonus

Schedule

Monday 7:30 - 4p, Tuesday 7:30 -5p, Wednesday 7:30 -5p, Thursday 7:30 -4p, Friday 7:30-1p with 1 hr lunch
